Administrative Leave

Aaron Rausche
Lets here it! What did he do? When did he do it? It has to be bad because its being kept a secret. I think the school board has forgotten that they are in public service, not in the service of Rich Carter or Bill Jordan. How about a little honesty for the people who just agreed to shell out 20 million dollars for school renovations. It sounds and looks like, to me, your thumbing your nose and laughing at us. If violated a policy or did something illegal that would get him fired from any other job than he should be canned from this one. This is rediculous and is not in the best interest of our community. I hope I am not the only one who thinks it time to clean up that office.

I suppose that some one who assaults another person at a party would either be defending himself or the most likely scenario is he was drunk. Now the question was did this happen at a school district sponsored event like the Linda Boggs fiasco or was this an independent drunken indescretion at the country club like Jessie Briones. Fine group of professional. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

There is a huge thread on this site named 2nd high school and many of the replies keep hiting on this type of behavior. Maybe those comments should be on this thread. Does anyone know about this athletic situation in the high school where a basketball player was convicted of felony assault. I asked a couple of teacher friends of mine that work at an elementary school and they confirmed it but they don't know really what happened. Does any one know what really happened? 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

From what my son has told me there is a boy (that played last year) who sexually assaulted another player at a summer basketball camp. My son went to this camp when he was a freshman but did not go as a sophomore (when this happened) thank God. Several of my sons friends were well aware of what had happened at this camp and I was upset to find out how many kids sat by and watched it all happen. As I was told, there was a boy that attacked another player repeatedly during the camp at EWU and apparently the coaches did very little while it was going on and sat by while the kids joked about it after charges were filed. It is true the boy was charged with rape and was eventually convicted of a felony. I think it was not well known in the Walla Walla because the boys father filed charges in Spokane. I was also told that a lot of the players were called to the police station and the high school to give statements to detectives and attorneys. I would not have known if I had not asked my son very directly. It is unfortunate that this kid and his teammates have been sent the wrong message about innapropriate sexual behavior. I can't imagine what the boy who was attacked an his family are going through knowing the school district did nothing. I wish them the best. 4  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

WOW! I don't know who is the most pathetic, the idiot that became a felon, the school district for not throwing his but out and canning a handfull of coaches, the parents of the victim for not suing the district until they can't pay any more or the UB for not getting this story out. The inmates are running the asylum 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

I think the district got it right. Sometimes you have to take the hit for the team. I am of a similar mind and I don't see anything wrong with sacraficing one kid to save John Golden and his basketball program. Realistically the kid isn't a very good basketball player anyway so why put it on the line when there is no payoff for Blue Devils program in the long run. We have to get behind Wilkins and Weisner on this because they are trying to build a state champion basketball program here we can't let one kid stand in the way. We need to identify this kid and rally up the big blue machine and run this kid out of town on a rail. I have heard it said this way! 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
