We do need another high school. I'm not sure it would be wise to have College Place build their own. It would not take care of the crowding at the high school now and it would take money from the school system (College Place pays for the kids sent in to Walla Walla). I feel we need to very carefully split the district (so there's not a rich school and a poor school) and have 2 high schools. I don't agree with College Place having a separate district from Walla Walla. The Adventists use to support the district but I don't see it anymore. The C.P. schools are not keeping up with the standard set. Too many changes in teachers and administration. Too much clout in one or two school board members. 14  out of 14 found this valuable. Do you?

Many people make the mistake assuming College Place residents are a majority adventist. The Adventists have been able to maintain control of the city through the fact that they vote more then the Hispanics that are buying up the older homes and renters passing through. The building of a high school has failed because of poor planning and fiscal irresponsibility. To many of the "leaders" in the high school planning were from Walla Walla, and all the land deals so far have smelled of developer welfare. 10  out of 10 found this valuable. Do you?
